Directions to SolveIn each of the following questions two statements a...
Statements:

  1. All the pencils are pens.

  2. All the pens are inks.

Conclusions:

  1. All the pencils are inks.

  2. Some inks are pencils.

From statement 1, if all pencils are pens, and from statement 2, if all pens are inks, then it must be true that all pencils are inks because they are a subset of pens which are a subset of inks. Therefore, conclusion 1 logically follows.

Conclusion 2 is also true because if all pencils are inks (from conclusion 1), then it's logically correct to say that some inks are pencils (as 'some' can refer to any portion, including the whole set).

Therefore, both conclusions logically follow from the given statements.

The correct answer is: Both (1) and (2) follow.
