Most Upvoted Answer
A Company makes a profit of Rs.7,60,000, 20% of which is paid as taxes...
Solution:
Let the total profit be 'P'
Given, P = Rs.7,60,000
Tax paid = 20% of P = (20/100)*P = Rs.1,52,000
Profit after tax = P - Tax paid = Rs.7,60,000 - Rs.1,52,000 = Rs.6,08,000

Calculation of Share of Partners:
Let the share of X be 5x, share of Y be 3x and share of Z be 4x
Total share = 5x + 3x + 4x = 12x
Total profit after tax = Rs.6,08,000
So, 12x = Rs.6,08,000
x = Rs.50,667

Share of X = 5x = 5*Rs.50,667 = Rs.2,53,335
Share of Y = 3x = 3*Rs.50,667 = Rs.1,52,001
Share of Z = 4x = 4*Rs.50,667 = Rs.2,02,668

Answer:
Therefore, the share of X is Rs.2,53,335 before tax and Rs.1,40,001 after paying the tax. Hence, the correct option is A.
