His first Flight is a story of hesitation, trial and error and finally succeeding with courage and persistence by Irish author liam O' Flaherty. (If the question is long or very long ans type, give a short introduction about the author and his writing style).
In the story, the protagonist is a young seagull that is afraid of flying. Since flying is a natural habit of birds and is very much essential for their survival, his parents try their best to persuade the young bird to fly. They begin by upbraiding him and threatening him. They then try to make him starve on the ledge so that he'll finally fly. However, that does not work too. Finally, the mother brings a piece of fish to him but halts in the air when he is just opposite to get. Maybe by hunter, the young seagull drives for the fish but missing the catch, falls downfrom the ledge. A monstrous terror seized him and the desire to survive arises within him. For the first time, he tries his best and naturally, he flies.
In real life too, our parentsmay try their best to let us fly high. But it requires personal effort, shedding of one's fears and constant hardwork for success in one's life. This is the concept that the author throws light on in the story.
Please elaborate the following points in your own language and style. Hope you are happy.
