: Chess, Carrom, or Scrabble. The number of students who play Chess is equal to the number of students who play Carrom, which is also equal to the number of students who play Scrabble. If 7 students play Chess, then how many students are there in the class?

1. How many games are played in the class?
2. How many students play Carrom?
3. How many students are there in the class?

1. Three games are played in the class: Chess, Carrom and Scrabble.
2. As the number of students who play Chess is equal to the number of students who play Carrom, and 7 students play Chess, therefore 7 students play Carrom as well.
3. As the number of students who play Chess is equal to the number of students who play Carrom, which is also equal to the number of students who play Scrabble, the total number of students in the class is 3 times the number of students who play Chess (or Carrom or Scrabble). Therefore, the total number of students in the class is 3 x 7 = 21.
