- After 2nd dilution: 600 litres of milk and 400 litres of water => Concentration of milk = (600/1000) = 0.6
- After 3rd dilution: 400 litres of milk and 600 litres of water => Concentration of milk = (400/1000) = 0.4
- After 4th dilution: 200 litres of milk and 800 litres of water => Concentration of milk = (200/1000) = 0.2

Since the concentration after the 4th dilution is less than the required value, Rakesh needs to increase the concentration by adding some of the stored contents removed during the dilution process.

Let's calculate the amount of milk required to achieve the desired concentration of 0.5:

- Concentration after 1st dilution: 0.8 => Milk required to achieve 0.5 concentration = 400 litres
