A is a active partner and B is a inactive partner in business. A puts ...
Given:
- A is an active partner and B is an inactive partner in a business.
- A puts in Rs. 5000 and B puts in Rs. 6000.
- A received 15% of the profit for managing the business and the rest is divided in proportion to their capitals.
- The total profit is Rs. 880.

To find:
- The amount received by A out of the profit.

Solution:

Step 1: Calculate the profit that will be divided in proportion to their capitals.

- Total capital = Rs. 5000 + Rs. 6000 = Rs. 11000
- A's share of profit for managing the business = 15% of Rs. 880 = Rs. 132
- Profit left to be divided in proportion to their capitals = Rs. 880 - Rs. 132 = Rs. 748

Step 2: Divide the remaining profit in proportion to their capitals.

- A's capital = Rs. 5000
- B's capital = Rs. 6000
- Total capital = Rs. 11000
- A's share of profit = (5000/11000) x 748 = Rs. 340
- B's share of profit = (6000/11000) x 748 = Rs. 408

Step 3: Add A's share of profit for managing the business and A's share of profit in proportion to their capitals to find the total amount received by A.

- Total amount received by A = Rs. 132 + Rs. 340 = Rs. 472

Therefore, the amount received by A out of the profit of Rs. 880 in all is Rs. 472.
