In a factory there are three types of bulbs L1, L2 and L3 which produc...
Given:
- Three types of bulbs: L1, L2, and L3
- L1 produces 20% of the total products
- L2 produces 15% of the total products
- L3 produces 32% of the total products
- L1 has a defective rate of 3%
- L2 has a defective rate of 7%
- L3 has a defective rate of 2%

To find: The percentage of nondefective products.

Approach:
1. Find the total defective products produced by each type of bulb.
2. Find the total number of products produced by each type of bulb.
3. Find the total number of defective products and nondefective products produced.
4. Calculate the percentage of nondefective products.

Calculation:
1. Total defective products produced by each type of bulb:
- Defective products produced by L1 = 20% x 3% = 0.6%
- Defective products produced by L2 = 15% x 7% = 1.05%
- Defective products produced by L3 = 32% x 2% = 0.64%

2. Total number of products produced by each type of bulb:
- Total products produced by L1 = 20%
- Total products produced by L2 = 15%
- Total products produced by L3 = 32%

3. Total number of defective and nondefective products produced:
- Total defective products = 0.6% + 1.05% + 0.64% = 2.29%
- Total nondefective products = 100% - 2.29% = 97.71%

4. Percentage of nondefective products = Total nondefective products / Total products produced x 100%
= 97.71% / (20% + 15% + 32%) x 100%
= 64%

Therefore, the percentage of nondefective products is 64%, which is option D.
