Given Information:

- There are four trees - lemon, coconut, mango, and neem - each at a different corner of a rectangular plot.
- A well is located at one corner and a cabin at another corner.
- The lemon and coconut trees are on either side of the gate which is located at the center of the side opposite to the side at whose extremes, the well and the cabin are located.
- The mango tree is not at the corner where the cabin is located.
- The coconut tree and the neem tree cannot be at adjacent corners of the plot.

To find:

- Which of the following will necessarily have to be at diagonally opposite corners of the plot?

Solution:

Let's assume that the rectangular plot looks like this:

Well - X - X - X - Coconut

X - X - Gate - X - X

X - Mango - X - Neem - X

Cabin - X - X - X - Lemon

Now, we know that:

- The coconut tree is adjacent to the gate.
- The mango tree is not at the corner where the cabin is located.
- The coconut tree and the neem tree cannot be at adjacent corners.

From the above information, we can conclude that the neem tree must be located diagonally opposite to the coconut tree. This is because the neem tree cannot be adjacent to the coconut tree and it cannot be adjacent to the mango tree (as it is not at the corner where the cabin is located).

Therefore, the answer is option D - Lemon tree and well.
