Given:
Sum of age of mother and daughter = 100 years
5 years ago, their ages were in the ratio of 2:1

To Find:
Ratio of age of daughter and mother after 10 years

Solution:

Let the present age of daughter be x years
Then the present age of mother will be (100-x) years

5 years ago, their ages were in the ratio of 2:1
So, (x-5)/(100-x-5) = 2/1
2x - 10 = 100 - x - 5
3x = 85
x = 28.33 (approx)

So, present age of daughter = x = 28.33 years
Present age of mother = (100-x) = 71.67 years

Ratio of age of daughter and mother after 10 years
Daughter's age after 10 years = x+10 = 38.33 years
Mother's age after 10 years = 100-x+10 = 40.33 years

So, the ratio of their ages after 10 years is:
(38.33)/(40.33) = 3/5

Hence, the correct option is (c) 3:5.
