Down Stream Distance = 200 km                      Up Stream Distance = 300 km
A boatman rows up stream at 16 kmph and 2 kmph on Tuesday and Friday. Then find the difference between the down stream speed of boat on Tuesday and Friday together and the speed of boat in still water on the same days together?

down stream speed of boat on Tuesday and Friday = 32 kmph
Still water speed = 25 kmph
Difference = 32 – 25 = 7 kmph

speed of boat= (16+6)=22 km/hr,

downstream speed= speed of boat+ speed of stream;
downstream speed=( 22+6)=28km/hr;

now on Friday, given speed of boat in still water= 3 km/hr; 2(upstream speed)= 3(speed of boat ) - speed of stream;
speed of stream= 1km/hr;
so, downstream speed = (3+1) =4km/hr;
so total of downstream speed on tue and Friday =(28+4) = 32km/hr
and total speed of boat in still water (22+3)= 25 km/hr;
A/Q , difference = (32-25) = 7km/hr, op(a)
