A milkman buys milk contained in 10 vessels of equal size. If he sells...
Given:
Number of vessels = 10
Selling price at Rs. 5/litre = Loss of Rs. 200
Selling price at Rs. 6/litre = Gain of Rs. 150

Let the capacity of each vessel be x litres.
Total milk = 10x litres

Calculation:
When the selling price is Rs. 5 per litre, the milkman suffers a loss of Rs. 200. That means, the cost price of the milk is (10x * 5) + 200 = 50x + 200.
When the selling price is Rs. 6 per litre, the milkman gains Rs. 150. That means, the cost price of the milk is (10x * 6) - 150 = 60x - 150.

Equating the two cost prices, we get:
50x + 200 = 60x - 150
10x = 350
x = 35

Therefore, the capacity of each vessel is 35 litres. Option D is the correct answer.
