Problem Analysis:
Ram takes one hour more than Shyam to reach point B, and if Ram doubles his speed he will take 30 minutes less than Shyam to reach point B. We need to find Ram's speed from point A to B.

Given:

Distance between A and B = 60 km

Let's assume that Shyam's speed from point A to B is S kmph and Ram's speed is R kmph.

Calculation:
Time taken by Shyam to reach point B = 60/S hours

Time taken by Ram to reach point B = 60/R hours

Ram takes 1 hour more than Shyam to reach point B

60/R = 60/S + 1

60S = 60R + SR

S = R + R/60 ------------(1)

If Ram doubles his speed, he will take 30 minutes less than Shyam to reach point B.

Time taken by Shyam to reach point B = 60/S hours

Time taken by Ram to reach point B after doubling his speed = 60/2R = 30/R hours

Shyam takes 30 minutes more than Ram to reach point B after doubling the speed

60/S = 30/R + 1/2

120 = 60S + RS

2R = S + 1/2 ------------(2)

Substituting equation (1) in (2)

2R = R + R/60 + 1/2

R = 20 kmph

Therefore, Ram's speed from point A to B was 20 kmph.

Answer: The correct option is (e) 20 kmph.
