    Solution:

    Let the total distance be 'd'.
    Given,
    - Distance covered in the first part of the journey = 40 km
    - Distance covered in the second part of the journey = 70 km
    - Remaining distance = d - 40 - 70 = d - 110 km
    - Speed of the first part of the journey = 50 kmph
    - Speed of the second part of the journey = 35 kmph
    - Average speed of the entire journey = 52 kmph

    To find: Distance covered in the last stretch of the journey

    Step 1: Finding the time taken for the first part of the journey
    Time taken = Distance/Speed = 40/50 = 0.8 hours

    Step 2: Finding the time taken for the second part of the journey
    Time taken = Distance/Speed = 70/35 = 2 hours

    Step 3: Finding the time taken for the remaining distance
    Given, Average speed of the entire journey = 52 kmph
    Total time taken = d/52
