The ages of A and B are in the ratio 12 : 7. After 6 years the ratio w...
Given: Ratio of ages of A and B is 12:7
After 6 years, the ratio becomes 3:2

Let A's age be 12x and B's age be 7x
After 6 years, A's age becomes 12x+6 and B's age becomes 7x+6

Now, (12x+6)/(7x+6) = 3/2
Solving for x, we get x=6

So, A's current age is 12x = 72 years and B's current age is 7x = 42 years

Therefore, the difference in their ages is 72-42 = 30 years

But we need to find the difference in their ages after 6 years, which will be (12x+6)-(7x+6) = 5x = 30 years

Hence, the correct answer is option D, i.e. 10 years.
