Assertion: For comparing countries, total income is not a useful measu...
For comparing countries total income is not a useful measure because let us take an example of Punjab and Kerala in Punjab the per capita income is more than Kerala but the infant mortality rate( IMR) is also more in Punjab as compared to Kerala, and we know that infant mortality rate (IMR) means the death of children under the age of one year , this may be a result of lack of health facilities. And when we talk about countries a country with high population and a country with low population when compared it may be possible the country having low population have a high per capita income if the wages of its people are more.
Hence option A is the correct answer.
