The ratio between the LCM (Least Common Multiple) and the GCD (Greatest Common Divisor) of two numbers is always equal to the product of the two numbers.
Let's say we have two numbers, a and b. The LCM of a and b is the smallest number that is divisible by both a and b without leaving a remainder. The GCD of a and b is the largest number that divides both a and b evenly.
The ratio between the LCM and GCD can be expressed as LCM/GCD.
According to the property of the LCM and GCD, we have:
a = x * GCD
b = y * GCD
where x and y are integers.
The LCM can be expressed as:
LCM = z * GCD
where z is an integer.
Therefore, the ratio between the LCM and GCD is:
LCM/GCD = (z * GCD) / GCD
= z
Since z = a * b, the ratio between the LCM and GCD is equal to the product of the two numbers:
LCM/GCD = a * b
