- Howrah: The Howrah district was another major jute producing district in Bengal. It had many jute mills, including the Howrah Jute Mill and the Victoria Jute Mill.
- 24 Parganas: The 24 Parganas district was also a major jute producing district in Bengal. It had many jute mills, including the National Jute Mill and the New Central Jute Mill.

Apart from Bengal, jute was also cultivated in other parts of India, such as Bihar, Assam, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh. However, the jute industry was not as developed in these regions as it was in Bengal.
