Help me to understand the function of the heart?

Blood enters the heart through two large veins, the inferior and superior vena cava, emptying into the right atrium. It flows from the right atrium through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. The blood then leaves the right ventricle and heart through the pulmonic valve and flows into the pulmonary artery and to the lungs. Oxygenated blood returns from the lungs to the heart via the pulmonary vein into the left atrium. From the left atrium, blood flows through the mitral valve to the left ventricle. From the left ventricle blood leaves the heart through the aortic valve and flows into the aorta and to the body!!

Heart is a double membrane organ which pumps the blood. There are oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood. Oxygenated blood are rich in oxygen and Deoxygenated blood are rich in carbon dioxide. so first of all we breathe the oxygen rich air and it reaches the lungs from there it goes to the alveoli where it goes to the heart through the pulmonary vein(only vein in the body which carry oxygen rich blood).The oxygenated blood first reaches the right artium and through the bicuspid valve oxygenated air goes to the right ventricle and then it goes out through the arota and reaches all the body parts. Then the waste product that is deoxygenated blood is collected by the superior and inferior vena cava. These deoxygenated blood first enters the left antrium and through the tricuspid valve the deoxygenated blood goes to the left ventricle and then it goes out of the heart through the pulmonary artery ( only artery which carries deoxygenated blood). This deoxygenated blood reaches the lungs to the alveoli and gone out of the body through exhaltion. The heart is called as double Circulatory organ because the blood flows through the heart two times.

The blood can perform its many-faceted role only if it circulates continually through the body. The pump that drives the blood through the vessels is the heart. It can be considered as two hollow organs — the right half and the left half — with muscular walls. Each half comprises an atrium and a ventricle. The right half receives oxygen-depleted blood from the entire body and sends it to the lungs, where it is charged with oxygen. The oxygenated blood is returned to the left half of the heart and thence distributed to the organs of the body. The right heart, then, pumps out only deoxygenated blood, and the left half only oxygenated blood.
