Robert Hooke was the first scientist to observe cells in 1665.He coined the term cell in 1960s.He discovered the law of elasticity known as hook's law. He observed the cell in a cork slice with the help of a primitive microscope.
Leeuwenhoek discovered the first living cell bacteria in 1976.He is also known for discovery of RBC, sperm and protozoa.
Robert Brown discovered the nucleus of the cell in 1931 and it's role helped to prove the cell theory. The discovery and naming over 2000 species of plants.
