, incus, and stapes, which bone is attached to the eardrum?

The malleus bone is attached to the eardrum. It is also known as the hammer bone and is the first of the three middle ear bones. The malleus bone is connected to the eardrum on one end and the incus bone on the other end. When the eardrum vibrates, it causes the malleus bone to move, which in turn moves the incus and stapes bones, transmitting sound waves to the inner ear.
