Answer : Because police reports represents official view of the state about an event and thus may be biased and prejudiced. While on the other hand the old newspaper mostly represented the facts as they are and recorded the events from the view point of common man.
उत्तर : क्योंकि पुराने अखबारों में जो जानकारियाँ होती थीं, वे सच्ची और ठीक होती थीं, जबकि पुलिस की रिपोर्ट झूठी होती थी | अंग्रेजी शासन में पुलिस अंग्रेजों के कहने पर झूठी रिपोर्ट दर्ज करती थी, जिसका विश्वास नहीं किया जा सकता था | जबकि अखबारों की जानकारियाँ सच्ची रिपोर्टों पर आधारित होती थीं | अखबारें स्वतंत्र रूप से घटनाओं को लिखती थीं |
