• B.N. Rau was an Indian civil servant who served as the Constitutional Advisor to the Constituent Assembly. He was appointed by the British Government in 1947 to help in the drafting of the Indian Constitution. He had previously served as the Law Member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, and as the Indian representative to the United Nations.
• S.N. Mukherjee was also an Indian civil servant who served as the Chief Draftsman of the Constitution. He was appointed by the Constituent Assembly in 1947 to help in the drafting of the Indian Constitution. He had previously served as a member of the Central Legislative Assembly and as the Advocate-General of Bengal.
Together, B.N. Rau and S.N. Mukherjee played a crucial role in the drafting of the Indian Constitution. They provided legal expertise and guidance to the Constituent Assembly, and helped to ensure that the final document was a comprehensive and well-crafted document that reflected the aspirations of the Indian people.
