(a) Observing the Image
To observe the image on the convex surface of a big shining spoon, I held the spoon in front of my face and positioned it in such a way that my face was inside the spoon's bulging surface. I could see a clear and inverted image of my face in the spoon. The image was smaller in size as compared to my actual face. I measured the distance between my face and the spoon's bulging surface using a ruler, and it was approximately 10 centimeters.
(b) Moving the Spoon Away
Next, I moved the spoon away from my face slowly while keeping my face still inside the spoon's bulging surface. As the spoon moved away, the size of the image decreased, and it got inverted. I again measured the distance between the spoon and my face, and this time it was 20 centimeters.
