The S.I unit of current is Ampere.It is written using the symbol 'A'.
If I is current and Q is charge and t is time, then,
I = Q/t
That means current is amount of charge passed through a specific cross-section of a conductor in a given time.
In S.I, the unit for charge is Coulumb, that is represented with the letter C , the unit for time is seconds, that is represented with the letter s.
Hence, we can write that,
1A= 1C .S ^-1
