The heart is a muscular organ having different chambers to prevent the oxygen rich blood from mixing with the blood containing carbon dioxide.
AURICLES receive the blood through VEINS while the VENTRICLES pump the blood through ARTERIES.

¶ RIGHT AURICLE receives the impure (deoxygenated )blood and pumps into RIGHT VENTRICLE which further pumps to lungs for oxygenation.

##the pulmonary artery is only artery which carries deoxygenated blood into the lungs for oxygenation.

¶ the oxygenated blood from lungs is brought by pulmonary veins into left auricle which pumps it into left ventricle and which further pumps it into the entire body through main artery.

##the pulmonary vein is the only vein which brings oxygenated blood from lungs into the left auricle.
