Consider the following statements:1. The constitution does not contain...
Both the statements are correct.
Even though all the union territories belong to one category, there is no uniformity in their administrative system. Every union territory is administered by the President acting through an administrator appointed by him. An administrator of a union territory is an agent of the President and not head of state like a governor.

Consider the following statements:1. The constitution does not contain...
Constitutional Provisions for Administration of Acquired Territories:

- The Constitution of India does not have separate provisions for the administration of acquired territories.
- The power to acquire territories is vested with the President of India under Article 1 of the Constitution.
- The acquired territories are governed by the same provisions that apply to other parts of India.

Uniformity in Administrative System of Union Territories:

- Union Territories are directly administered by the Central Government of India.
- The Constitution provides for a separate chapter (Part VIII) for the Union Territories.
- However, there is no uniformity in the administrative system of the Union Territories even though they belong to one category.
- For example, Delhi and Puducherry have their own elected governments, while other Union Territories are governed by an Administrator appointed by the President.
- The powers and functions of the Administrator and the elected government are also different in different Union Territories.

Conclusion:

- In conclusion, both statements are true. The Constitution does not have separate provisions for the administration of acquired territories, and there is no uniformity in the administrative system of the Union Territories.
