Std or more commonly called as STI( Sexually transmitted infection) is an infection caused by engaging into an unprotected intercourse with an infected partner. It can also be transmitted through blood transfusion , sharing needles etc. so, the assertion is correct. STD's can lead to the above mentioned conditions like ectopic pregnancy
(Improper implantation of blastocyst other than the site of uterus) , Infertility (Inability to have a baby) etc. so, we can assess reason is also correct but it doesn't explain the assertion. so option B is correct
