See as u know u can take any subject, but humanities are best bcoz it will be helpful for u to clear prelims (stage 1) but if u take science u have to study gs gk and some important chapters of sst to clear prelims ( basically in prelims only mcq are there and its not difficult to clear prelims) if u r unable to caary the burden of sst like me go with science as i am planning to go. first complete ISC and then clear bsc for being graduate . bsc is better than btech i think because upsc exam mainly thoeries are asked and in bsc u will know all the theories . best of luck for yr future. hope it helps
