In following questions, two quantities numbered I and II are given. Calculate values of both quantities and choose the correct option.
Quantity I: If ratio of radius of base to the height of a right circular cylinder is 7:13 and its total surface area is 220 cm2, then what is the volume of the right circular cylinder? (In cm3)
Quantity II: 200
  • a)
    Quantity I = Quantity II
  • b)
    Quantity I < quantity="" />
  • c)
    Quantity I = Quantity II + 50.25
  • d)
    Quantity I = 1.5 × Quantity II
  • e)
    Relation between quantities I and II cannot be determined
Correct answer is option 'C'. Can you explain this answer?
Verified Answer
In following questions, two quantities numbered I and II are given. C...
For Quantity I:
Let radius of base and height of right circular cylinder are 7s and 13s respectively
Total surface area of a right circular cylinder
= 2π × 7s × (20s)
880s2 = 220
s2 = (1/4)
s = (1/2) =0.5 cm
So, radius of base and height are 3.5 cm and 6.5 cm respectively.
Volume of cylinder = πr2h
= (22/7) × 3.5 × 3.5 × 6.5
= 250.25 cm3
For quantity II:
200
So, Quantity I = Quantity II + 50.25
