Directions: The following questions, two statements numbered I and II...
Quantity I
Let length of train A be Y m/sec
Length of platform = 480 meter
Speed of train A = (Y + 480)/18 .... (i)
Length of train B = 360 meter
Speed of train B = 72 × 5/18 = 20 m/sec
Relative speed of train A to B = ((Y + 480)/18 + 20)
((Y + 480)/18 + 20) = (Y + 360)/10
10Y + 8400 = 18Y + 6480
8Y = 1920
Y = 240 meter
Quantity II:
CI - SI = P × (R/100)2
CI - SI = 37500 × 64/10000 = ₹240
Hence, Quantity I = Quantity II
