Quantity II: Cylindrical tank having curved surface area 18480 cm2 and area of base 5544 cm2 is filled with liquid then how many smaller spherical vessels having diameter 7 cm are required completely empty the liquid?

Directions: The following questions, two statements numbered I and II...
Quantity I
Let length be L meter
Breadth be B meter
Area = (LB) = 1944 m2 ..... (i)
Perimeter of square = 4sides = 216
Side = 54 meter
Length of rectangular field = 54 meter
Putting value of L in (i) we get
Breadth = 1944/54 = 36 meter
Perimeter = 2(54 + 36) = 180 meter
Required cost = (180 × 16) = ₹2880
Quantity II:
Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πRH = 18480 ...... (i)
Area of base = πR2 = 5544
Radius = 42 cm
Putting value of R in (i) we get
Height = (18480 × 7)/(2 × 22 × 42) = 70 cm
Volume = (22/7 × 42 × 42 × 70) = 388080 cm3.
Radius of sphere = 3.5 cm
Volume of sphere = 4/3 × 22/7 × 3.53
Required number of vessel = 388080/(4/3 × 22/7 × 3.53) = 2160
Hence, Quantity I > Quantity II
