Which among the following was Jinnah 14 points? 1. Provincial autonom...
Jinnah's 14 Points were a set of demands put forward by Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the leader of the All India Muslim League, in 1929. These points were aimed at safeguarding the rights and interests of the Muslim community in British India and ensuring their political representation. Among the given options, the correct answer is option 'B' - 1 and 3 only.

1. Provincial Autonomy:
Jinnah demanded that the provinces of British India should have maximum autonomy and the central government should have limited powers. This was to ensure that the provinces have the freedom to govern themselves and make decisions on matters that directly affect them.

2. Formation of Three New Muslim Majority Provinces:
Although not mentioned in the 14 Points, Jinnah did advocate for the creation of separate Muslim majority provinces. However, this demand was not part of the 14 Points document itself.

3. Separate Electorate:
Jinnah insisted on the continuation of separate electorates for Muslims. This meant that Muslims would vote separately from other communities and have their own representatives in legislative bodies. This was seen as a way to protect Muslim interests and ensure their political representation.

4. Representation to Muslims in Punjab and Bengal:
The demand for proportional representation for Muslims in Punjab and Bengal was not explicitly mentioned in the 14 Points. However, Jinnah did advocate for fair representation of Muslims in these provinces based on their population. This demand was aimed at ensuring that the Muslim minority in these provinces had adequate political representation and their interests were safeguarded.

In conclusion, Jinnah's 14 Points primarily focused on provincial autonomy and the demand for separate electorates for Muslims. The formation of new Muslim majority provinces and proportional representation in Punjab and Bengal were not part of the 14 Points document itself, although Jinnah did advocate for these demands separately. Therefore, the correct answer is option 'B' - 1 and 3 only.
