Ionisation Enthalpy:
Ionisation enthalpy is the energy required to remove an electron from an atom in its gaseous state. As we move from left to right across a period in the periodic table, the electronegativity of elements increases. This means that atoms become more eager to attract electrons. Atomic Size:

This is because atoms with higher electronegativity values tend to attract electrons more strongly, pulling the electron cloud closer to the nucleus. As a result, the atomic size decreases. Chemical Reactivity:
Highly electronegative atoms have low chemical reactivity because they are more likely to gain electrons rather than lose them. This makes them less likely to participate in chemical reactions where they would have to give up electrons. Therefore, atoms with high electronegativity values have low chemical reactivity.
