ASER stands for Annual Status of Education Report. This annual survey aims to provide reliable estimates of children's enrolment and basic learning levels for each district and state in India.
ASER has been conducted every year since 2005 in all rural districts of India. It is the largest citizen-led survey in India. On 14th January 2020, the Non-Profit Organization Pratham released its annual report, Annual Status of Education Report, 2019. So, statement 1 is not correct.
The number of girls enrolled in government schools is higher than the number of boys. On the other hand, the number of boys enrolled in private institutions is higher than that of girls. So, statement 2 is correct.
Therefore, the answer is (a).
