Describe post fertilization changes in human beings?
Most Upvoted Answer
Describe post fertilization changes in human beings?
External fertilization in humans helps in allowing the male gametes to reach the female gametes. ... After the fertilization in humans, the major events which will take place include early embryonic development, establishing multicellularity, the formation of the blastula, and formation of embryonic germ layer

**The post-fertilization events in a organism are as follows:

All those events in sexual reproduction after the formation of the zygote, are called post-fertilization events.

The zygote is the vital link, that ensures continuity of species between organisms of one generation and of the next.

Development of the zygote depends on :
a.The type of life cycle of the organism.
b. The environment it is exposed to.

In many algae and fungi, the zygote develops a thick wall around it and undergoes a period of rest before germination.

In organisms showing haplontic life cycle, the zygote undergoes meiosis, while in organisms showing diplontic life cycle, the zygote undergoes mitosis.

The zygote develops into an embryo(embryogenesis).
7.Embryogenesis involves :
a. Cell division,to increase the number of cells.
b. Cell enlargement or growth, to increase the volume/weight of living matter.
c. Cell differentiation, for the formation of different kinds of tissues.

**After fertilisation the eggs and sperm changes into zygote and it develops to embryo and after certain time it develops into a baby..

**After fertilization, a series of event occurs in the zygote to develop into a seed. Let us take an overview of the process of post fertilization, endosperm and embryo formation. Post fertilization is a series of events that takes place after fertilization to develop a seed from an ovule and a fruit from an ovary.

Post Fertilization Changes in Human Beings

  • Fertilization: Fertilization occurs when a sperm cell penetrates the egg cell in the fallopian tube.

  • Formation of Zygote: The fertilized egg is called a zygote, which contains genetic material from both the mother and father.

  • Cleavage: The zygote undergoes cell division and forms a ball of cells called a morula.

  • Blastocyst Formation: The morula develops into a blastocyst, which is a hollow ball of cells with an inner cell mass that will eventually form the embryo.

  • Implantation: The blastocyst implants in the lining of the uterus, where it receives nutrients and oxygen from the mother's blood.

  • Gastrulation: The inner cell mass of the blastocyst forms three layers of cells: the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. This process is called gastrulation and it sets the stage for the development of different organs and tissues in the body.

  • Neurulation: The ectoderm layer forms a neural tube, which will become the brain and spinal cord.

  • Organogenesis: The different organs and tissues begin to form from the three germ layers. This process is called organogenesis.

  • Placenta Formation: The placenta forms from the outer layer of the blastocyst and the lining of the uterus. It provides nutrients and oxygen to the developing fetus and removes waste products.

  • Fetal Development: The fetus continues to grow and develop until it is ready for birth.
