see nivedita acids are in the form of H+(aq)ions such as sulphuric acid ,nitric acid etc. you can try this and H+(aq) ions are water ions so if we will remove water ions then how it is in acidic form.e.g.-if we remove hydrogen ion from  HCl then Cl only remains i.e.chlorine as u can try other u can understand it better..
