belgium -ammended constitiution 4 times to make a situation that everyone could live together-both the french and dutch had equal representation at central and state level-the state govt had a seperate form and wasn't sub-ordinate to central govt.apart from there was a community govt of linguisticSrilanka-it gave more provincial status to Sinhala speaking community and there was a special protection for buddhism-Tamilians felt alienation and they started to form political parties to pressurize govt for their needs-Tamilians demanded to recognize Tamil as an official languge and to offer a tamil Elam at north eastern part of SrilankaGovt rejected and there were soon conflicts followed by civil strife .-some of the rights had been grantad but the problems till continue to present
