Analysis:

- The total number of students pursuing UG in Botany is 440.
- The total number of students pursuing UG in Microbiology is 300.
- The total number of students pursuing UG in Zoology is 360.
- The total number of students pursuing UG in Anatomy is not given.
- The total number of students pursuing UG in Pathology is not given.

Calculations:

1. Number of girls pursuing UG in Zoology:
- Ratio of girls in Zoology to girls in Anatomy is 4 : 5
- Let the number of girls in Zoology be 4x and in Anatomy be 5x
- Total number of girls = 4x + 5x = 9x
- Total girls pursuing UG = 0.45 * Total girls = 0.45 * 9x = 4.05x
- Since x is a positive integer, the number of girls in Zoology must be a multiple of 5
- The highest multiple of 5 less than 4.05 is 4
- Therefore, the number of girls in Zoology = 4 * 5 = 20

2. Number of boys pursuing UG in Botany:
- 20% of boys are pursuing UG in Botany
- Total number of boys = 1800 * (5/9) = 1000
- Number of boys pursuing UG in Botany = 0.20 * 1000 = 200

Conclusion:

- The number of girls is highest in Botany (440), and the number of boys is lowest in Pathology (since there are an equal number of girls and boys in Pathology). So, the correct answer is Botany and Pathology.

Directions: Study the following information carefully and answer the ...
Total students = 1800
Number of girls in Zoology and Anatomy
Therefore, number of girls in Anatomy
And number of boys in Anatomy
Thus, number of girls in Zoology = 360 - 200 = 160
Therefore, number of boys in Zoology = 360 - 160 = 200
Number of boys in Botany
Therefore, number of girls in Botany = 440 - 200 = 240
Number of girls in Microbiology
Therefore, number of boys in Microbiology = 300 - 100 = 200
Remaining number of students
= 1800 - (160 + 200 + 200 + 300 + 200 + 240 + 100 + 200)
= 1800 - 1600
= 200
Therefore, number of boys in Pathology = 100
And number of girls in Pathology = 100
Thus, highest number of girls are in botany = 240
Lowest number of boys are in Pathology = 100
Hence, this is the correct answer.
