Brief note on Mirabhai?
Meerabai was a Rajput princess and was married to a Shishodiya Rajput king of Chittor against her will. She said to the king that she was already married, and she always called him 'Rana'. When Meera was in her childhood, she saw her mother worshipping Lord Krishna with some flowers, and she curiously asked her mother what was she doing so.Her mother was also a devotee of lord Vishnu and she said to her little child about Krishna, she taught her about the Gita even when she was at the age of 7 or 8. Day after day, she went even more close to Krishna, then she enlightened herself, that there is really nobody as great as him...he is the creator of this earth! She loved Krishna and made numerous poems in praise of her lord.
But alas! she was married. Her in laws were not good to her and they always tried to kill her by giving her poison in milk or something like this. But she never took a backstep to punish them. It was also said that she sangs so sweet that one day Tansen came there with Mughal emperor Akbar to hear her, singing bhajan to her beloved, Krishna.
Her poems are still alive today....

मेरे तो गिरिधर गोपाल,दूसरा न कोई ...
जा के सिर मोर मुकुट मेरो पति सोई....
