The powers shared in a democry are of 4 types:1. HORIZONTAL DIVISION OF POWER SHARING. this type of power are shared among the organs of the government. and also called as SYSTEM OF CHECKS AND BALANCES.
2. VERTICAL DIVISION OF POWER SHARING. in this type of power sharing piwers are shared among the govenment that have different names in different countries and in india they ate state govt. and local govt. tis type of power sharing is also called FEDRAL SYSTEM OF POWER SHARING.
3.COMMUNITIES BASED POWER SHARING. in this type, powers are shared among different social grouos, such as in belgium.
4. COALTION BASED POWER SHARING. in this type, powers are shared among political parties, pressure groups and movements, to control and influencing those who are in powere. the point to remember is that the pressure groups and tose people who participate in different movements they do not want any power in democracy........ they just want to fulfil their demands.

Power is shared in democracy in two forms1) Vertically ie. at different levels of government.And,2)Horizontally ie. at the same level.For eg. at executive,judiciary and legislature.
