Can you explain the answer of this question below:
Voltage in the secondary coil of a transformer does not depend upon.
  • A:
    Voltage in the primary coil
  • B:
Ratio of number of turns in the two coils
  • C:
    Frequency of the source
  • D:
    Both a and b
The answer is c.

As, V1/V2 = N1/N2;so. V2 = (V1 x N2)/N1Hence we can conclude voltage in secondary coil i.e V2 is independent of Frequency of the source but depends on Voltage in the primary coil and Ratio of number of turns in the two coils.

We know that voltage of secondary coil depends upon voltage on primary coil as resistance and capacity of current in primary coil decides voltage of secondary coil. Next it also depends upon the ratio of number of turns in two coils bcoz the more the number of turns it have the high power voltage it generates by producing more heat by resistance. so as it depends on both (a) and(b) so the correct answer must be (c). .......hope it will help u.

As v1/v2= N1/N2 =:so V2=(V1×N2) /N1 hence we can conclude voltage in secondary frequency coil i.e, V2 is independent of frequency of the source but depends on voltage in the primary coil ratio of the turns in the two coils
