The particle is either stationary or moving parallel to the magnetic field. This is because the force experienced by a charged particle in a magnetic field is given by the equation F = qvBsinθ, where F is the force, q is the charge of the particle, v is its velocity, B is the magnetic field strength, and θ is the angle between the velocity and the magnetic field. If the force is zero, it means that either the velocity is zero (particle is stationary) or the angle θ is either 0° or 180° (particle is moving parallel or antiparallel to the magnetic field).

A static charged particle does not feel any force in a magnetic field. Also, if the direction of velocity of the particle and magnetic field is same it does not experience any force. In other words only the component of velocity perpendicular to the direction of magnetic field determine the force on it.
