A homologue of a compound differs in its molecular formula by CH2 or by a molecular weight of 14.
Ethyne is C2H2 so its homologue can be C3H4 that has a CH2 in addition to C2H2.

C3H4 is propyne (homologue of alkyne)
C3H8 → propane (homologue of alkane)
C2H6 → Ethane (homologue of alkane)
