Answer is option C going from the option.
No. of questions he attempted = 54.
So mark is 54 x 2 = 108. He left 12 questions,
So, 12 x 0.5 = 6 marks (to be deducted).
108 – 6 = 102.
Remaining = 100 – (54 + 12)
= 100-66
=34 questions (incorrectly answer).
So, 102 – 34 = 68 (Matching with the net score).

Calculation:

The student did not attempt 12 questions, so the number of questions attempted can be represented as:
Total Questions - Unattempted Questions = Attempted Questions
100 - 12 = 88

Let x be the number of questions the student attempted.
According to the given conditions:
2x - x - 0.5(100-x) = 68
Solving the above equation, we get:
x = 54

Therefore, the student attempted 54 questions.

Explanation:

- The total marks for the test are calculated by giving 2 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each wrong answer, and 0.5 marks for each unattended question.
- The student did not attempt 12 questions, which means he attempted 88 questions.
- Using the formula provided, we can calculate the number of questions attempted by the student.
- By solving the equation, we find that the student attempted 54 questions.
- Therefore, the correct answer is option (c) 54 questions attempted.
