- Let's assume the angle made by the hour hand and the second hand is 3x, and the angle made by the minute hand and the second hand is 2x.
- The hour hand moves 360 degrees in 12 hours, so in 1 hour it moves 30 degrees (360/12).
- The minute hand moves 360 degrees in 60 minutes, so in 1 minute it moves 6 degrees (360/60).
- The second hand moves 360 degrees in 60 seconds, so in 1 second it moves 6 degrees as well (360/60).
- Since the ratio of the angles is 3:2, we can say that 3x = 30 * t and 2x = 6 * t, where t is the time in hours.
- From the above equations, we get x = 10t and x = 3t.
- Equating both equations, we get 10t = 3t, which gives t = 0.3 hours.
- Therefore, the angle made by the minute hand to the second hand is 2x = 2 * 3 * 0.3 = 1.8 degrees.
