Structure of Male Penis
The male penis is a complex organ with several key parts that work together to facilitate urination and sexual function.

1. Shaft:
The shaft of the penis is the long, cylindrical body of the organ. It is made up of three cylindrical columns of spongy tissue known as the corpora cavernosa and the corpus spongiosum. The corpora cavernosa are located on the upper side of the shaft, while the corpus spongiosum surrounds the urethra.

2. Glans:
The glans is the rounded tip of the penis, often referred to as the head. It is highly sensitive and contains a large number of nerve endings, making it a key pleasure center during sexual activity.

3. Frenulum:
The frenulum is a band of tissue that connects the glans to the shaft of the penis on the underside. It is highly sensitive and can contribute to sexual pleasure.

4. Urethra:
The urethra is the tube that runs through the penis and carries urine from the bladder out of the body. During ejaculation, the urethra also carries semen.

5. Skin:
The skin of the penis is loose and flexible, allowing for changes in size during erection. It is also highly sensitive to touch and stimulation.

6. Erectile tissue:
The penis contains erectile tissue that becomes engorged with blood during sexual arousal, leading to an erection. This process is essential for sexual function and reproduction.
