Calculating the Time taken to cross the bridge
- Given data:
- Length of the train = 100m
- Velocity of the train = 60 km/h
- Length of the bridge = 1 km
- First, we need to convert the velocity of the train from km/h to m/s:
- 60 km/h = 60 * 1000 / 3600 = 16.67 m/s
- The total distance the train needs to cover to cross the bridge is the sum of the length of the train and the length of the bridge:
- Total distance = 100m + 1000m = 1100m
