Q. 24, 60, 120, 210, (___)
  • a)
    336
  • b)
    330
  • c)
    420
  • d)
    525
Correct answer is option 'A'. Can you explain this answer?
Verified Answer
In this questions, a number series is given with one term missi...
The pattern is+ 36, + 60, + 90, .
i.e., + [ 6 * (6 + 0) ], + [ 6 * (6 + 4) ], + [ 6 * (6 + 9) ],
Therfore, Missng number = 210 + [ 6 * (6 + 15)]  = 210 + 126 = 336.

In this questions, a number series is given with one term missi...
Because
24+(6×6=36)=60.
60+(10×6=60)=120.
120+(15×6=90)=210.
210+(21×6=126)=336-Which is the answer.
There is a series of multiplying factor Which is 6,(6+4=)10,(10+5=)15,(15+6=)21.

In this questions, a number series is given with one term missi...
Pattern in the Series:
To find the missing term in the given series, we need to observe the pattern in the given series:
- The series starts with 24 and the next term is obtained by adding 36 (i.e., 12*3) to the previous term.
- Similarly, each subsequent term is obtained by adding the next consecutive odd number to the previous term.

Using this pattern, we can find the missing term in the series.

Solution:
- The first term is 24.
- The second term is obtained by adding 36 (i.e., 12*3) to the previous term, which gives 60.
- The third term is obtained by adding the next consecutive odd number (i.e., 5) to the previous term, which gives 120.
- The fourth term is obtained by adding the next consecutive odd number (i.e., 7) to the previous term, which gives 210.
- The fifth term should be obtained by adding the next consecutive odd number (i.e., 9) to the previous term, which gives 210+9=219.
- But, as we can see, none of the options has 219. Hence, we need to find another way to solve this problem.
- We can observe that the differences between the adjacent terms are 36, 60-24=36, 120-60=60, and 210-120=90. The next difference should be 90+2*9=108.
- Hence, the missing term should be 210+108=318.
- But, as we can see, none of the options has 318. Hence, we need to find another way to solve this problem.
- We can observe that the differences between the adjacent terms are 36, 60-24=36, 120-60=60, and 210-120=90. The next difference should be 90+2*9=108.
- We can also observe that the differences between the differences of the adjacent terms are constant and equal to 24, i.e., 24, 24, and 24. Hence, the difference between the fifth and fourth terms should be 90+24=114.
- Hence, the missing term should be 210+114=324.
- But, as we can see, none of the options has 324.
- We can further observe that the differences between the differences of the differences of the adjacent terms are constant and equal to 6, i.e., 6, 6, and 6. Hence, the difference between the differences of the fifth and fourth terms should be 24+6=30.
- Hence, the missing term should be 210+114+30=354.
- But, as we can see, none of the options has 354. Hence
