1 woman's 1 day's work = 1/70

1 child's 1 day's work = 1/140

(5 women + 10 children)'s day's work = (5/70 + 10/140) = (1/14 + 1/14) = 1/7

5 women and 10 children will complete the work in 7 days.

10w can work in 7d, so 1w = 7*10 =70days 10C can work in 14 days so 1C = 14*10 =140 days 5w=70/5(total work /no. of women) =14 days 10c=140/10 = 14days both can work in=1/14+1/14= 2/14= 1/7 so both can work in 7 days

Since, efficiency of 10 women and 10 children will be in ratio 2:1. so, work of five women = work of 10 children. That's why 5 women and 10 children together will complete the same work in 7 days
