Types of Real Numbers

Properties of Real Numbers

1. Commutative Property: The order of addition and multiplication does not change the result (a + b = b + a, ab = ba).

2. Associative Property: The grouping of numbers in addition and multiplication does not change the result ((a + b) + c = a + (b + c), (ab)c = a(bc)).

3. Distributive Property: Multiplication distributes over addition (a(b + c) = ab + ac).
